Goff Lab for
Experimental Economics
(GLEE)

We do science with GLEE!

GLEE is the experimental economics lab at Skidmore College operated by Professor Sandra H. Goff with the help of undergraduate student researchers. The lab is dedicated primarily to the study of prosocial economic behavior: charitable donations, volunteerism, support for public goods, ethical consumption, and reduction of negative externalities. Experiments conducted by the lab are performed online, on the Skidmore College campus, or as field experiments in partnership with non-profit organizations.

If you would like more information about the lab or are a representative of a non-profit interested in collaboration, please contact us at xecon@skidmore.edu.

If you are interested in being a participant in one of our studies, please fill out the form below.

If you are a student interested in joining the lab, please contact Professor Goff at sgoff@skidmore.edu.

Summer 2021

There is a lot going on in GLEE this summer!!

This summer, two rising Skidmore College juniors, Rachel Dentler and Jeremy Budner, are working on a variety of projects under the guidance of Prof. Sandra Goff. Rachel's primary focus has been on a new experiment that is an extension of Dr. Goff's work, Sucker Aversion in Charitable Giving. She has also been revising a working paper that links responsibility aversion and sucker aversion. Jeremy has been helping to prepare and implement an online experiment that seeks to better understand attitudes toward external costs.

Taking some time to bowl with GLEE!
